I am a certified teacher, having taught ACT prep, as well as run my own tutoring business, for eight years. My certification areas are English 6-12 with a reading endorsement, and ESOL endorsement and differentiated learning. I have been trained in AP Lang and Lit. I am also certified in business education.

I primarily tutor in ACT or SAT verbal and science as well as essay. Once students achieve the score they need, they often come back for help in college applications and the corresponding essays.

I also offer homework help, study skills, reading strategies and English, literature and writing tutoring. Additionally, I have had success helping students prepare for AP exams.

Another service I offer is teacher mentoring for struggling and new teachers. I have been certified as a Teacher Leader by my district (in Florida) and by Solution Tree. I now offer these mentoring services primarily when administration sees the potential in a newly hired teacher, but finds they need extra help. I specialize in classroom management, using data to drive instruction, and effective lesson planning.
