As a teacher and a tutor, I am often the one student’s and parents come to for ACT and SAT registration advice, and I’m happy to help. All The questions about what sports are interested in and what classes you’ve taken can take up to 45 minutes to fill out. Some are optional, and some are required. You have to tell them what classes you’ve taken, but it doesn’t really matter if you’re honest or not. You have to tell them your grade point average, but again it does not affect anything in your record or how the college sees you if you’re honest or not. The college looks only at your transcript for your grades. You do not have to tell them what your intended major is, what extracurricular activities you have engaged in, or what your interests are. Filling in this info is for the benefit and profit of the test prep company, yet it gets your student some fun college-related mail. That’s about it.
